Loop Living was founded by Teresa Day, an sustainability educator, gardener and interior decorator based in Melbourne, Australia.  A qualified interior decorator with over 20 years experience in the sustainable education and community development sectors, Teresa is environmentally and ethically conscious in every project she undertakes. Having taken her family through the many changes - low waste lifestyle, plant rich diet, home grown vegetable and fruits, no nasty / chemical free cleaning, buying second hand, begging, borrowing as well as picking and foraging…. she has the practical experience to help you make the change(s) you want to live more sustainably.   Her natural ability to organise and listen, matched with her creative flair, brings a whole fresh and seemless approach to creating positive change to your home.

“Want to start to compost, but don’t know how? Want to use low toxin cleaning products, but don’t know where to start? Want to buy new furniture that’s locally made and ethical, but don’t know where to go?…. Teresas’ experience means she knows exactly what is needed, practically instantly. As a people person, she is able to work with clients to find out who they are, what they like, and in the process, help the create a home that works, is good for them and the planet.

As well as her role at Loop Living, Teresa works part-time at Sustainable Gardening Australia, running presentations and workshops on growing food and gardening for biodiversity and runs group gardening sessions at Doncaster Hill Community Garden for Manningham City Council. She also runs sustainable decorating talks and workshops for many other local Councils. As a co-founder of Moonee Valley Sustainability she is actively involved in climate action at a local level, mobilising the community to reduce emissions, drawdown carbon and build a local sharing, circular economy.

Teresa's home has been open as part of the Sustainable House Day, demonstrating sustainable design, decoration and living, the profile of which can be seen here.
